I have served central Oklahoma with integrity for 25-years with quality, caring and concerned legal representation in various areas of law. When you need representation and choose me, you will be well-represented. You will be represented by me personally, and not by any other associate attorney who may have less experience or less talent. I will be the one working on your case.

My practice presently includes, but is not limited to, trial work, divorce, post-divorce modifications, child support collection, child custody litigation, paternity, guardianship, adoption, probate and wills. I have been appointed by judges and attorneys to serve as the Guardian ad Litem for children in literally dozens of contested child custody cases, and I am also in high demand by attorneys to serve as a mediator in family law cases.

The formula for my success through the years has been really quite simple: individual attention to each and every client, attention to detail in every case, knowing the law and the judges who apply it, and consistent and effective communication with every client. I am a great believer in listening to clients in order to know and understand their individual needs.

I have a no-nonsense approach to the practice of law. I will listen to you, understand your issues and concerns, give you an honest and straightforward assessment of what I believe can and cannot be done in your case, even if it's not the answer for which you are hoping. I will not tell you what I think you want to hear, nor will I ever make promises about the outcome of your case. I will give you a very realistic analysis of your situation and assist you in determining your case strategy and goals.

My billing practices are fair. The initial retainer which I require is based upon your individual case and is quite reasonable. My hourly rate is consistent and fair in the central Oklahoma area. You will be billed for the actual services performed by me and my legal assistants, with no puffery added. In the event you may have a question about any bill you receive, you may inquire of me so that you understand or so the bill is corrected if need be.

With me as your attorney, you will always know these three important things about your case: what has happened, where your case is now, and where it is going. You will receive copies of every pleading which is filed in court and copies of every piece of correspondence sent out or received in your case. You will review and approve every document before it is filed of record with the court. You will be advised and reminded of all court appearances, whether your attendance is required or not. Your telephone calls and emails will be answered and returned. Your questions will be promptly answered. You will be well-prepared for all hearings in court. You will be a part of the team.

I believe in having good luck; however, I believe that good luck occurs when preparation meets opportunity. I have a very strong work ethic, and will work to prepare your case for you.

I am a great believer in settling family-related cases whenever possible, and many family court judges in central Oklahoma are now requiring mediation to be conducted in every case. Settlement of cases is much preferred as compared to going to trial, as settlement limits the high emotions and expense of a protracted family law matter. Please spend your money on your children, not on lawyers.

When it is not possible to settle a case, we will go to trial. Nobody will be more prepared for you or more able to present your case effectively. I have taken many cases to trial in many different arenas and have enjoyed a great deal of success in the courtroom.

My method of practicing law has led to me being recognized as a top-rated attorney for 15 consecutive years with the Martindale-Hubbell "AV" Preeminent Attorneys rating, which is the highest possible attorney rating as voted by other lawyers. I have also been selected for inclusion among Oklahoma's "Super Lawyers," and have been recognized as one of the "Top Attorneys in Oklahoma" by Oklahoma Magazine. I am perhaps most proud of the "Client Achievement Award," which was recently presented to me for my good working relationship and dealings with my clients. All of these awards are voted upon anonymously by other attorneys and former clients, and they are neither solicited nor paid for by me. That's what others think of my legal abilities and ethical conduct.

I look forward to visiting with you about your specific legal needs. If you have an issue that I'm not comfortable or adept at dealing with, I will tell you so and assist you in finding the right lawyer for that specific need.
